| [ Summary ] | Although skeletal muscle atrophy due to long-term space stay, aging, or being bedridden is one of the important problems to be overcome, effective prevention strategies and therapeutics have not yet been established. Recent studies have reported that several other organs regulate skeletal muscle homeostasis. Furthermore, skeletal muscle also maintains other tissue functions. These findings are expected to lead to the development of novel treatment methods for muscle atrophy. | |
