[ Summary ] |
Multipotent mesenchymal stromal cells (MSCs) have the ability to differentiate into bone, cartilage, or fat tissue. Because MSCs are relatively easy to prepare, many clinical trials of bone regeneration using MSCs have been performed. Good results have been reported, but comparison with studies using conventional techniques is not performed often enough. Further investigation is needed to demonstrate the usefulness of MSCs for bone regeneration. |
