[ Summary ] Conventionally, bisphosphonates have been administered to elderly patients and patients at high risk. However, various novel anti-resorption drugs have shown wide usefulness with effects seen in both comparatively young patients with osteopenia and in elderly patients at high fracture risk. Therefore, a thorough understanding of the characteristics of each drug along with individualized treatment planning is required.
