[ Summary ] Many patients with primary osteoporosis are complicated with CKD, and it has been reported that the risk of hip and vertebral fractures is higher in osteoporosis patients with CKD than in those without CKD. Because the osteoporosis drugs are excreted by the kidneys, there are currently no drugs for which the efficacy and safety have been established for CKD patients. I have provided an outline regarding the treatment of osteoporosis patients with CKD.
