[ Summary ] |
Androgens play an important role in maintaining the homeostasis of reproductive organs. Recent studies have focused on the functions of androgen receptor (AR) in bone tissue, AR also plays a significant role in bone mass control. Epigenetic regulation of AR mediated transcription have been explored especially in hormone sensitive cancer cells, but not in bone cells. This knowledge may open new windows for therapeutic strategies for treatment of bone related diseases. |
