[ Summary ] The number of Japanese patients with Paget's disease of bone (PDB) is very small. We can, however, treat PDB successfully using risedronate 17.5 mg/day for 56 days which was approved for Japanese PDB patients in June 2008. This treatment indicated the increased significance of early and proper diagnosis of PDB. Since the proper diagnosis of PDB depends on proper image diagnosis, we must learn skills related to image diagnoses. It is difficult to learn through PDB diagnostic experience due to the low incidence of this condition in Japan, so this article aims to introduce how to interpret the radiograms of PDB.
