[ Summary ] Alminium hydroxide gel, calcium carbonate and sevelamer hydrochloride were utilized to reduce serum levels of phosphate. However, the results were not satisfactory. It is hoped that calcimimetics and lanthanum carbonate will provide better control of serum phosphate levels.
