[ Summary ] Bone histomorphometry is a way to evaluate bone metabolism quantitatively. It provides osteoid parameters using of undecalcified sections, and also gives dynamic parameters using bone labeling techniques. In renal osteodystrophy patients bone turnover in particular increases or decreases, depending on the particular pathogenesis. Bone histomorphometry with human iliac bone biopsies is an essential way to diagnose renal bone disease. In this paper, we provide some images of histological findings for renal osteodystrophy, and interpret parameters of bone histomorphometry.
