| [ Summary ] | Bone metabolic disorders are frequently associated with secondary hyperparathyroidism. Therefore, it is preferable to consider bone status for the establishment of the treatment strategy. Bone mineral densitometry, serum bone metabolic markers and bone histmorphometry provide useful information on bone. However, those information is not applied in clinical practice since the regulation of plasma PTH level is the only treatment target for secondary hyperparathyroidism at present. | |
