[ Summary ] |
Since the completion of human genome sequencing, we are now living in a post-genome era. We can apply genome information to medical science using SNPs analyses for identification of responsible genes with complex traits, or microarrays for gene-expression profiling. Mechanisms of gene expression, regulated by the higher order structures of the chromosomes may remain an enigma, and are still to be elucidated. Furthermore, we need to address the fact that genome analyses is involved with ethical, legal, and social implications. |
