[ Summary ] The first selection for imaging diagnosis of the parathyroid is ultrasonography. Ultrasonic examination is implemented by using a high frequency probe for superficial organs. It is desirable that the blood flow evaluation is possible in cases of low blood velocity and low blood flux. As occasion demands, scintigraphy, CT and MRI etc. may be combined. It is important that implementation be performed by an expert, beside parathyroid intervention prepares certain necessary devices and a special puncture needle. Local vitamin D injection therapy and, other modalities are examined, in addition to PEIT. It is essential to obtain good clinical results, while avoiding adverse effects. This may be done through use of equipment, such as the appropriate puncture needle, which must be used by experts in accordance with the guidelines in all cases.
