[ Summary ] Measurement of residual renal function (RRF) is commonly performed in peritoneal dialysis, but not in hemodialysis. It is difficult to simply incorporate RRF into dialysis dose calculation because hemodialysis is intermittent and RRF declines rapidly. Recently, however, some studies have reported the importance of RRF, and several methods of incorporating RRF into dialysis dose calculation have been reported. We explain the calculation method here.
