| [ Summary ] | Home hemodialysis (HHD) allows an increase in the number of weekly dialysis sessions and also in the duration of dialysis sessions. These factors significantly contribute to improved survival prognosis and the quality of life in these patients. However, reportedly, there are many access problems because more vascular access (VA) is used. Patients undergoing HHD require appropriate education regarding self-puncture, as well as self-VA management. It is expected that VA issues observed in patients undergoing HHD can be prevented or minimized if the hemodialysis unit environment can be adjusted. | |
