[ Summary ] | Aortic diseases, such as aneurysm, dissection, and stenosis, indicate progression of systemic atherosclerosis in chronic hemodialysis patients. Surgical treatment is often difficult because of a prevalent diffuse or thrombotic lesion or a high post-procedural mortality rate. Thus, follow-up should be carefully performed, especially using CT, if aortic calcification is present in this high-risk population. |
