[ Summary ] Apart from strict therapeutic exercises or physical training, which require professional prescription like drug or dialysis therapy, leisure time exercise and daily physical activity are universal health habits in line with meals and rest (sleep). Thus, habitual exercise is basic health literacy for all medical workers, and adivising and supporting patients' physical activity is a kind of common medical mission as well as healthy eating, drinking, and smoking cessation. This article, targeting dialysis staffs not dedicated to exercise or rehabilitation medicine, provides information about pragmatic and sustainable exercise prescription applicable to stable maintenance dialysis patients and their family.
