[ Summary ] Dialysis nursing is a specialized field of nursing that supports "people who live with CKD (dialysis equipment)." Research pertaining to nursing and care provided to patients with dementia is increasing secondary to an increase in the number of elderly patients undergoing dialysis. Thus, it is important for dialysis nurses to learn/improve their knowledge of strategies to maintain cognitive abilities in this growing population of patients undergoing dialysis. However, no focused report is available in this context. Therefore, I examined whether the risk/preventive factors established by the Japanese Society of Dementia Disease Guidelines 2017 and dialysis nursing practiced on a daily basis are associated with increased risk reduction or prevention factors. Thus, to maintain cognitive ability, dialysis nursing ought to include the following components: 1) Prevention of complications of dialysis. 2) Personal care and evaluation. 3) Coordination of multi-occupational collaboration. 4) Research pertaining to cognitive ability, Organizational efforts. There are the individuals or organizations to effectively practice them I thought that role of dialysis nursing.
