[ Summary ] Water treatment equipment for dialysis water is composed of many devices based on the principles of filtration, ion exchange, adsorption, membrane separation, and disinfection. Specifically, these devices include the cartridge filter, softener, activated carbon, reverse--osmosis membrane module, and ultraviolet irradiator, which remove biological and chemical contaminants from the raw water. Water quality control of raw water is also very important to supply purified dialysis water stably. Requirements of the water quality standard for dialysis water can be met by appropriately managing raw water and the water treatment equipment. As such, we have created management standards for water and each device.
