| [ Summary ] | Hepatitis C virus (HCV) infection is widely prevalent among patients on hemodialysis (HD) ; however, it is rarely treated. HCV infection among patients on HD is associated with a higher risk of death. We provide a rationale for frequent treatment of HCV infection in this population. We recommend that HCV infection among patients on HD should be treated with any IFN-free DAA-based regimen. |
