[ Summary ] More than 80 % of dialysis care in Japan is provided by small and medium size facilities. It is difficult for them to afford to constructing nursing management education systems. We therefore combine training programs with other institutions to teach theory and nursing management systems. We improve management skills by practicing teams and involving project leaders from inside of our facility. Thus, we take it for granted that managers need to participate in training programs inside and outside our institution in order to learn more about nursing management. It is also necessary to plan and practice education based in dialysis-specific facilities in which the managers themselves need to gain trust from the staff and patients through the managers' skill, knowledge and verbal skills.
