[ Summary ] Continuous learning for maintenance and development of the self's abilities is a responsibility of nurses. In the field of dialysis nursing, it is necessary to have knowledge and technical knowhow to cope with changes appropriately, to prevent complications, and ensure long-term survival. In nursing for chronic kidney disease, knowledge, skills, and sensibility related to physical, mental, social, and spiritual pain of patients are needed to support self-care. For nurses, many scenarios such as clinical practice experience, various academic conferences and seminars, as well as personal experiences are a subjective continuation of education. The Japan Renal Failure Nursing Society would like to contribute to the improvement of the quality of nursing for chronic kidney disease by providing continuous education.
