[ Summary ] The nourishment status of dialysis patients is not optimal at the time of dialysis introduction ; the older age of these patients is one of the reasons behind this. We performed a counterplan for the occurrence of chronic kidney diseases. However, the effects were just as they had been before. One of the reasons is that the nourishment instruction for patients with chronic kidney disease in the preservation period was insufficient. For dialysis patients whose dietary intakes are insufficient, oral nutritional supplementation is effective during dialysis. Moreover, the time has come for dialysis patients to pay the cost of their own nourishment as needed.
