[ Summary ] Many new effective medical treatments have been implemented. However, their effects on individual patients due to improper administration may be deleterious. Therefore, in order to continue to ensure safe and appropriate medical care, management of the entire hospital system is required.
In our hospital, among the high-risk medicines, we clarify the management processes for high-alert medicines as medicines which may have serious adverse effects due to incorrect administration. However, management or registration of high-alert medicines is not so signficant in itself. Continuing to locate, share and improve our efforts must be implemented across medical institutions to avoid accidents which negatively impact patient care.
