[ Summary ] The JCI (Joint Commission International) is a nonprofit organization which was established to continuously improve the safety and quality of care within the international community.
The NTT Medical Center Tokyo became a JCI accredited hospital in 2011. During the JCI accreditation process, we learned a great deal about world wide standards for improving patient safety and overall medical quality. According to the JCI standards, medical records is regarded as one of the most important strategies to improve the safety and quality of patient care.
Furthermore, recording medical charts is an important communication tool for providing rapid, efficient and effective medical care by staff members.
