[ Summary ] Primary nephrotic syndrome has been specified as an incurable disease by the Japanese Ministr y of Health, Labour and Welfare. Kidney dysfunction in relation to CKD guidelines determined by heat mapping is a serious illness. Primary nephrotic syndrome may require the use of steroids or immunosuppressants. Kidney replacement therapy may become necessary. Generally, attempts are made to taper off and discontinue steroids or immunosuppressants after kidney replacement therapy. In cases of continuous administration, adverse effects should be watched for especially, infection. It is important to monitor serum levels of immunosuppressants for adverse effects. It is necessary to understand the characteristics of immunosuppressants and to provide patient compliance instruction.
