[ Summary ] The prevalence of fatigue is very high in dialysis patients. Fatigue after hemodialysis treatment sessions is common in this population. Health related quality of life is assessed by patient reported outcomes. Self rated health status, reported by patients, has been recognized as an important predictor of outcomes for patients receiving dialysis. The recovery time from fatigue after hemodialysis treatment sessions is a factor related to quality of life. Post dialysis fatigue is associated with poor prognoses for hemodialysis patients.
