[ Summary ] In order to inhibit the progression of coronary artery diseases in dialysis patients, risk factors such as anemia, dyslipidemia, diabetes, and hypertension must be minimized. Hypertension and heart failure must be managed as well. Patients with heart failure and severe high or low blood pressure should receive appropriate levels of dialysis with proper dialysis modalities. The relation of impaired heart function to vascular access should be re-evaluated in a timely manner.
