| [ Summary ] | The essence of socio-psychological support for elderly patients on HD may be divided into three categories ; (1) fundamental knowledge of and sympathy for elderly HD patients, (2) precise, organized information on those subjects, (3) deciding on tangible support plans for those patients based on (1) and (2). Additionally, when we make decisions concerning supportive plans it is important to express ongoing respect for elderly people, to understand their sense of values and to empathize with them. | |
