[ Summary ] Exercise therapy for patients with chronic kidney disease has not been recommended due to concerns related to exacerbation of renal dysfunction. Rather than restricting movement across the board for chronic kidney disease patients the Clinical Practice Chronic Kidney Disease Guidelines of 2009, suggest maintainance of physical functions for the purpose of preventing cardiovascular disease. Therefore, continuing movement provide exercise to is advised.
Exercise therapy for patients with chronic kidney disease, should consist of continuous movement under low loads to achieve risk management.
For medical staff members, it is important to create an environment in which we may fully explain the effectiveness of exercise therapy to patients with chronic kidney disease.
