[ Summary ] This paper is to explain the kinds of qualitative research using selected published qualitative research papers on the field of Chronic Kidney Disease (CDK) and Kidney Dialysis. Although there were not many qualitative papers in this field, Grounded Theory Approach, phenomenology and qualitative content analysis were explained with a few research examples. Qualitative descriptive research, ethnography, historical research, case study, narrative analysis and participatory action research were introduced, referring for the future themes in order for clinicians to develop and conduct their own qualitative research. Better clinical research will be conducted when healthcare professionals collaborate with qualitative researchers in the field of CKD and dialysis.
