[ Summary ] The KDIGO Clinical Practice Guidelines for Acute Kidney Injury provide some suggestions concerning nutritional management. Compared to previous guidelines, tangible values for energy, protein intake are considered to be useful for routine clinical work. However, nutritional management may tend to be forgotten by doctors including renal specialists, in very tense clinical situations. Nutritional assessment and communication with other care givers are necessary and very important for proper management of AKI patients. The same is true for infusion control and preparation of renal replacement therapy.
