| [ Summary ] | Novel biomarkers have emerged for the early diagnosis of AKI, primarily through experiments in animals. The usefulness of these is currently being evaluated in various clinical settings. In this article, we briefly review the characteristics of drug-induced kidney damage and discuss 1) early diagnosis of AKI induced by anti-cancer drugs, antibiotics and NSAIDs using novel AKI biomarkers, 2) therapeutic drug monitoring, and 3) prevention of AKI with hydration. | |
