[ Summary ] In 2012, the Japanese Society for Dialysis Therapy (JSDT) published the "Clinical Practice Guidelines for Chronic Kidney Disease-Mineral and Bone Disorder (CKD-MBD)" for the purpose of revising previous guidelines released in 2006. The guideline working group verified target ranges for mineral values and referred to newly released CKD-MBD-related drugs, e.g. cinacalcet hydrochloride and lanthanum carbonate. They made use of JSDT annual Japanese data and analyzed that data through three different multivariate models. These models were the baseline model, the time-dependent model and the time-average models. We verify target ranges for mineral parameters and extrapolate methods for controlling these values by using a '9-section chart'.
