[ Summary ] There are no medical treatments where stenosis lesions at VA (vascular access) points are treated directly. Treatment for VA stenosis lesion, consists of antiplatelet therapy, anticoagulation therapy and thrombolysis therapy. There have not been any large-scale prospective studies of these conditions and their treatment Japan. However, aspirin, clopidogrel and dipyridamole plus aspirin which were the subjects of a multicenter prospective study exhibited improved patency rates for VA treatment. Anticoagulation therapy employing, heparin is used to prevent vascular spasms in AVF and AVG operations. However, the effectiveness of warfarin is unknown. Various devices are used for thrombolysis therapy, but the results are very poor.
