[ Summary ] Assessment of recirculation ratios is crucial to avoid inefficiencies in hemodialysis(HD)treatment. Several noninvasive techniques have recently been developed for calculating recirculation ratios. We evaluated the accuracy of CRIT-LINE monitor, HD02 and blood volume monitor in vivo. Valuation of reliability in an experimental system was also performed on an in vitro recirculation system at rates of (20, 30, 35, 45, 50, 60 and 75 %) HD02 and blood volume monitoring appears equal in terms of accuracy of measurements. CRIT-LINE results correlated well, but tended to underestimate recirculation ratios.
