[ Summary ] Unlike the impression held decades ago, staff members in blood purification units are generally cooperative in university hospitals today. The frictions between other departments are within acceptable ranges. However, there is still no established educational guideline for blood purification by medical students. We find it difficult to spare enough time to develop and implement those guideline. Remarkable results have not been obtained in the field of blood purification-related researche either. We are not satisfied with our performance as an academic, creating a great deal of stress within our proffessional community.
