[ Summary ] Deteriorations in dialysis treatment situations produce a sense of physical exhaustion and depression among physicians and nurses. Because of this, dialysis centers must establish solid managerial principles, and provide safe, reliable medical services to satisfy their patients. We conduct annual surveys of patient satisfaction to formulate ways to improve clinical settings. To incorporate managerial principles and strategies into individual departments and to make them available to individual employees, we also utilize a balanced scorecard as a measure to facilitate improvements in operations, enhance employee retention rates, and reduce personnel expenses.
