[ Summary ] Work has progressed on structuring the career development ladder at the Japanese Red Cross Hospitals since 2004. This system has been introduced in 92 Red Cross Hospitals across the country since 2006. The primary concept of this ladder is to achieve the primary goals of the Red Cross while adding to their overall activities in the field of general nursing. This has been done to coordinate synchronize their educational plans with their goals and to make it possible to hold evaluation conferences based on educational support. In order to introduce this ladder into many hospitals where the scale and function of treatment are different, to clarify the purpose of introducing this concept, the need for disperate facilities to cooperate, a system which implements these goals is necessary.
