[ Summary ] The reduction of blood β2 microglobulin and inhibition of inflammation in dialysis patients is a key point for the prevention of dialysis related amyloidosis (DRA). The selection of type of dialysis treatment with high reduction rates for blood β2 microglobulin and dialysis membranes with high biocompatibility is important in practical terms. Additionally, the β2 microglobulin absorption method and the means for purification of dialysates should be beneficial for the inhibition of DRA progression.
