[ Summary ] Dialysis-related amyloidosis is a serious complication in long term dialysis patients. Use of high-flux dialyzers, hemodiafiltration, or β2-microglobulin adsorption column are effective in prevention of disease progress and removal of serum β2-microglobulin. The frequency and severity of dialysis-related amyloidosis accelerated with the duration of dialysis therapy. Therefore, further clinical studies are needed to find more effective methods for prevention of and therapies for dialysis-related amyloidosis.
