[ Summary ] | The optimal prescribed time for HD or HDF, is over 4.5 hours of dialysis. Over 1.6 hours of treatment are recommended to achieve proper Kt/V urea levels, 70 % urea reduction levels should be achieved. The use of high flux membrane filters and ultra pure dialysates (bacteria less than 10-1 CFU / ml, ET less than 30 EU / l) is also preferable. In post dilution HDF therapy, use of more than 15 l of replacement fluid is desirable. |
