[ Summary ] Heart valve disease associated with chronic kidney disease is increasing yearly. It is necessary to treat heart valve disease while noting the following points : (1) The surgical indications for valvular disease in dialysis patients are basically the same as for non-dialysis patients. (2) In relation to the calcified valves in dialysis patients, the calcification of aortic valves and mitral annulus calcification are generally observed. (3) It is important that the progression of aortic stenosis in hemodialysis patients be noted early.
