[ Summary ] Since 1972 the Kokura Daiichi Hospital has had a unique educational system. Adequate time is devoted to group education, practice and IT literacy for newcomers. The education and practice committees share information through groupware (information management system with LAN) so that individuals can effectively select their study programs. Support is provided to our staff to help them present their work to medical conferences. Expert nursing systems and support systems are provided for advancement. Students can increase their overall knowledge particularly of their specialities. These students will contribute to the entire hospital system. Each staff member's achievements (presentation to conferences, in papers and training) are given credit. Yearly, estimated credits are recorded in students' personnel career files. We believe this unique training system to be effective and subjective.
