[ Summary ] Before starting dialysis, when coughing, fever, suppuration or rashes are observed infection should be suspected and measures taken to cope with it. After masking is carried out and vital signs are checked, medical examination by a doctor is required. When tuberculosis is suspected, it is necessary to decide on issues concerning isolation, treatment time and bed rest. When vascular access infection is suspected and there is a possibility of an immediate operation, injections should be avoided. The foundation of medical treatment must be infection prevention, through washing hands and gargling, by patients and medical workers. Nursing plays a vital role in providing information on the provision of pneumonia vaccines also.
