| [ Summary ] | Reassessment of handicapped individuals receiving low levels of care was perfomed, in relation to revisions of the Japanese Long Term Care Insurance system. There are many patients receiving low levels of care in outpatient dialysis facilities. Their disabilities must be reevaluated in relation to lower degrees of care provided. The most indispensable service for these patients is assistance in getting to the hospital three times a week, which is not available if they are re-classified as having a lower degree of disability. This revision will be especially disadvantageous to dialysis patients. | |
