[ Summary ] It is well known in the field of hemodialysis, that the clinical effects of solute removal are evaluated by concentrations in blood before and after treatment. However, due to financial constraints, post procedure sampling is often omitted, making it impossible to consistently mointor results.
We studied a waste fluid monitoring system for adequate treatment time in dialysis situations. Specifically, we measured to time the duration of urea nitrogen in dialysate waste fluids, and observe the kinetics of solute removal in real time, to develop a theory for analysis, using a compartmental model.
