| [ Summary ] | A patient was seen who exhibited symptoms of critical psychological stress. She stated that, “her life was over”. Yamase's crisis coping model was applied for the care of this patient. Emotional support was also provided, along with hemodialysis information. The patient eventually accepted her medical situation and was able to cope with it. When we encounter potential hemodialysis patients we apply Yamase's model to provide high levels of patient care. |
