[ Summary ] Dialysis patients belongs to a high risk group of patients with tubercular complications. Although the number of patients with tubercular complications decreased, there were more noted with long term dialysis patients. Recently, the increasing number of elderly diabetic patients at the start of dialysis has increased the risk of the onset of tuberculosis.
Therefore, there are many cases of extra-pulmonary tuberculosis among patients undergoing dialysis therapy, making it hard to diagnose cases with tubercular complications.
In order to treat patients with tubercular complication without delay, bacteriological examination and the other diagnostic procedures must be done immediately.
