[ Summary ] Concerning countermeasures for earthquakes, the safety of dialysis patients and staff members should be achieved first. To do this, dialysis equipment should be prevented from moving and overbalancing. Furthermore, especially for floor type dialysis equipment, countermeasures to keep equipment close to patients are needed.
Damage to dialysis facilities should be minimized as well. Overall, countermeasures are taken at all facilities. For example, equipment, and piping / wiring connected to equipment, should be secured. Equipment installed in machinery rooms should be prevented from falling over and pipes connected to equipment should have the flexibility to prevent damage.
