[ Summary ] Concerning disaster countermeasures, cooperation between crisis control units of dialysis medical facilities, local dialysis medical facilities and associated organizations as well as, administrative support, utilizing information sharing systems are all important. The Japanese Association of Dialysis Physicians has promoted the dialysis organization information network, and developed a disaster information sharing system, using a homepage and E-mail. This network was used in the Niigata Chuetsu earthquake for information sharing and evaluation and found useful. It is important in the future that, this network become more well known. System information registration and confirmation must be possible without a computer. It must be a system which promotes information dispatch at the time of a disaster. Interchange of staff members between local dialysis medical facilities is important for smooth cooperation of the system at the time of a disaster.
