[ Summary ] Uremic peripheral neuropathy is mainly manifested by sensory nerve disturbances and / or autonomic nerve disturbances. Because these disturbances can be reversed by renal transplantation, it is apparent this neuropathy is caused by either excessive or deficient quantities of substances' due to loss of renal function. However, in clinical settings, causative factors for individual cases may not be easily determined and therapeutic diagnostic procedures should be taken.
